Book of Kells tickets

The Book of Kells is a ninth-century illuminated gospel book kept in the Old Library of Trinity College, five minutes on foot from the bridge. Two volumes are on display, a page turned every few weeks, and the Long Room above it is the reason most people remember the visit. [prüfen]

Queue or fast track

The walk-up queue on Nassau Street can be an hour in summer. The fast-track tours enter at a set time with a guide and continue to Dublin Castle or Christ Church, and are the practical way in. The cheaper guided walks do Trinity's grounds and the outside, then the castle and cathedral, without the book itself, so check which you are buying.
