Privacy

In short: this site sets no cookies, uses no tracking or advertising network, loads nothing from third-party servers and stores nothing about you on our side. The only processing of your data is what any web server technically needs to deliver a page. Two things happen in your own browser only, your day plan and, if you ask for it, your location; both are explained below.

1. Controller

2. Visiting the site (server logs)

When you open a page, your browser transmits, for technical reasons, your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the page you came from (referrer), and your browser type and operating system. This data is processed in the logs of the hosting provider to deliver the page, secure the service and detect faults. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in secure operation. The logs are deleted after seven days at the latest and are not combined with other data.

Hosting: Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. The servers are located in Germany.

3. No cookies, no tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No user profiles are created. That is why there is no cookie banner.

4. Storage in your browser (local storage)

When you add places to "your day", choose a currency, the number of travellers or a travel mode, your browser keeps these choices in its local storage so the plan is still there when you come back. This information never leaves your browser, is not sent to the server and is not visible to me. It is necessary for the planner to work (§ 25 (2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, TDDDG). You can delete it at any time through your browser settings, or simply remove the stops from your plan.

5. Location

The start point "My location" asks your browser for your approximate position, but only when you choose it and only after your browser asks you and you agree. The position is used solely in your browser to calculate bearings and driving-time estimates from where you are. It is neither stored nor sent to the server or to third parties. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by choosing another start point or through your browser settings.

6. No content from third-party servers

Fonts, scripts, stylesheets and images are delivered from this site's own server. Photographs of tours are copied to this server at build time; your browser does not connect to the partners' image servers while you read. No content from Google, social networks, map services or advertising networks is embedded.

The "Check dates" buttons and the tour titles link to GetYourGuide, Viator or Tiqets. These are affiliate links, and they contain a partner identifier so the partner can attribute a booking to this site. Only when you click such a link do the partner's privacy rules apply, including any cookies the partner sets. Nothing is transmitted before you click.

7. Contact by e-mail

If you write to me, I process your details to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). The e-mails are deleted once the matter is settled and no statutory retention duties stand in the way.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Please use the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, datenschutz-berlin.de.

9. Security

The site is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

10. Changes

This statement applies from 24 September 2026. If the site changes, for example by adding a visitor count or a newsletter, this statement will be updated beforehand.
